The undersigned gives to The Monitor, its employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, and those acting with its permission (collectively, “Newspaper”), the irrevocable, unlimited, worldwide right to broadcast, publish, reproduce and otherwise use videotapes, photos and/or other images submitted by me (“Materials”) (with or without my name and other identifying information) in any broadcast, print, electronic or other medium, including without limitation as part of videotapes, websites, digital images, illustrations, reproductions, advertisements, promotional materials and archives.
I acknowledge that I will not receive any valuable consideration, monetary or otherwise for the use of the Material. I understand that the Newspaper may use the Material without any credit to me. I waive my right to approve accompanying written or narrative material, and I understand that the Newspaper may choose to edit or to not use the Material. The Newspaper will own and retain all rights, title and interest in the Material.
In giving this consent, I release Newspaper and its affiliates from any liability related to any intellectual property or proprietary rights which I might have in connection with such materials, and I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Newspaper and its affiliates from any claims or liabilities relating to Newspaper’s use of the Materials that I have submitted, including that the Materials violate or infringe upon the intellectual property or proprietary rights of others.
I represent that I am at least 18 years of age or older and legally able to sign this Consent and Release. I acknowledge that I have read and understand this Consent and Release.
